We are pleased to announce that we have taken on our first Apprentice!
George Johnson joined us in September as a school leaver. He will enrol on the National Society of Master Thatchers Apprenticeship Scheme, which will take up to five years to complete, and will come away with an NVQ in Thatching at the end of the apprenticeship.

November 2019
We have been accepted as a Member of the National Society of Master Thatchers (NSMT). The Society represents about 30% of the industry's thatchers and is the lead body in thatching today in the UK. The Society runs an apprenticeship scheme and will mentor George throughout his training with Thatchcraft.
October 2021

Jacob Greenfield joined us at the beginning of October. Jacob has been thatching for two years but we have enrolled him on the NSMT's Apprenticeship Scheme.
